Daminozide is also named B-NINE or Alar, it is a Plant Growth Regulator used to control the growth of chrysanthemums. Daminozide works by inhibiting the production of Gibberellins, which are Plant Growth Hormones that promote stem elongation and leaf expansion. By inhibiting the production of these hormones, Daminozide can control the height and flowering of the chrysanthemum. Daminozide also promote the production of larger flowers and more abundant flowering. When applied to the foliage of the chrysanthemum plant, it can reduce the plant’s height and encourage more compact growth.
